NASA INSPIRE OLC

NASA INSPIRE Online Learning Community. I found out about this program a couple of months ago through my father, and his connections at the school district. I applied, sent my transcripts & certification off , and now I am just ready to get accepted. It would be awesome to have a chance to participate because I can get to truly start to prepare myself for my paths ahead. As any young aspiring physicist wishes, working with NASA would be the best way to contribute to scientific discovery of the Universe. I also understand there is always a need for computer programmers.....?

Guess who did it...?

Final average for Algebra 2......... 83.
Thanks to the Philadelphia School District it comes out as an 85 on my transcript. I really worked hard to try to maintain my grades. It was a long battle, but I won the war. Next year for Pre-Cal. I will have to be on task all the time, study smart, and continue to achieve longevity in high-school.

Discouragment.

We had projects to present in engineering this week. With the help of the student assistant, I was able to plug in some pretty important information on how much Joules per Day one orbital system could receive from the sun. When I showed the assistant my Presentation, he put it to me nicely that my purpose and goal didn't make since, but the work was good. He also added that maybe because he had more educational experience he was able to understand more things then I was. He is right. I'm an aspiring scientist, trying to start fresh rather than late. I was a little bothered after this, but quickly turned this around into a positive. I need to continue to keep my standards high. If not, I will loose aspiration for science. Life is golden.

The Score(s)

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged, but I've been busy. With the help of requizzing. I was able to receive a
3/5-Law of Exponents
5/5-Long Division of Polynomials
5/5 Synthetic Division
Now I have 13/15 on the quiz giving me an 86.7. I wish that was my final average for Algebra. With high hopes setting out for Cornell or Princeton for my BA in physics, my transcript says " Winston can certainly come up with theories, and research (A's in both Bio-Chemistry and Adv. Engineering for my sophomore year) but can't find an equation worth didly. I recently took a quiz on Conic Sections of Circles and Ellipses. I tanked. Choked. Missed the game winning freethrow. This is the LAST week to requiz before Summer break. May Einstein be with me.
